Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 21, 2025

Look, we're architects, not data miners. We respect your privacy just like we respect good building codes. This policy explains what info we collect and why – nothing fancy, just the straight goods.

When you reach out to us or use our website, we might collect:

  • Contact Details: Name, email, phone number – basically how we can get back to you about your project
  • Project Info: Whatever you share about your build, renovation plans, site details, that sort of thing
  • Technical Stuff: IP address, browser type, pages you visit – standard website analytics that help us understand what works and what doesn't
  • Communication Records: Emails, phone notes, meeting summaries – we keep these for project continuity and legal reasons

We're not collecting anything weird or unnecessary. Just what we need to do our job properly and keep things running smoothly.

Here's what we do with the info you give us:

  • Respond to your inquiries and provide quotes for architectural services
  • Manage ongoing projects, consultations, and client relationships
  • Send you project updates, invoices, and relevant documentation
  • Improve our website and services based on how people use them
  • Comply with legal requirements and professional regulations in Ontario
  • Occasionally share news about our work or industry insights – but only if you're cool with it

We're not selling your info to third parties or spamming you with nonsense. That's not how we roll.

We keep your info pretty close to the vest, but there are a few situations where we might need to share it:

  • Project Partners: Engineers, contractors, consultants who're working on your project – they need certain info to do their jobs
  • Legal Requirements: If the law says we gotta share something, we will. Courts, government agencies, that type of deal
  • Service Providers: Cloud storage, email services, project management tools – they help us run our business but they're bound by confidentiality agreements
  • Business Transfers: If we ever sell or merge the firm (not planning on it), your info would transfer to the new owners

We don't share client info for marketing purposes or sell it to data brokers. Period.

Yeah, we use cookies – not the chocolate chip kind, unfortunately. These little files help our website function and give us insights into how it's being used.

What we're tracking:

  • Which pages get the most traffic
  • How long people stick around
  • Where visitors are coming from
  • Basic device and browser info

Most browsers let you control cookies through their settings. You can block 'em if you want, though some parts of the site might not work as smoothly.

We use Google Analytics to understand our traffic better. They've got their own privacy policy if you wanna dig into the details.

We take security seriously – probably more seriously than we take our coffee orders. Your data is protected through:

  • Encrypted connections (SSL/TLS) when you're browsing our site
  • Secure, password-protected servers and cloud storage
  • Limited access – only team members who need certain info can see it
  • Regular security updates and monitoring

That said, no system is 100% foolproof. We do our best to keep everything locked down, but we can't guarantee absolute security. If you're sending sensitive project details, encrypted email is always a good call.

We keep your data as long as it's relevant – usually through the project lifecycle and then for about seven years after that for legal and professional liability reasons. Standard practice in the architecture world.

You've got rights when it comes to your personal info. Here's what you can do:

  • Access: Ask us what info we have on you – we'll give you a rundown
  • Correction: If something's wrong or outdated, let us know and we'll fix it
  • Deletion: Want us to delete your data? We can do that, unless we're legally required to keep it
  • Opt-out: Don't want promotional emails? Unsubscribe anytime – there's a link at the bottom of every message
  • Portability: Need your data in a transferable format? We can arrange that

To exercise any of these rights, just shoot us an email at info@quantumbastion.info or give us a call. We'll get back to you within a reasonable timeframe.

Under Canadian privacy laws (PIPEDA and all that), you've also got the right to file a complaint with the Privacy Commissioner if you think we've mishandled your info.

Our website might link to other sites – suppliers, industry organizations, project partners, whatever. Once you click through to their site, this privacy policy doesn't apply anymore.

We're not responsible for how those other sites handle your data. If privacy's a concern (and it should be), check out their policies before sharing any info.

Our services aren't directed at kids under 18. We don't knowingly collect info from minors. If you're a parent and think your kid has given us their info, reach out and we'll delete it right away.

We might update this privacy policy from time to time – new laws, new tech, evolving practices, that kind of thing. When we make changes, we'll update the date at the top of the page.

If there's a major change that affects how we handle your data, we'll let you know directly via email or with a notice on our site. Keep an eye on this page now and then to stay in the loop.

Got questions about how we handle your data? Concerns about privacy? Just wanna chat about it? We're here for you.
